Knowledge of English

Knowledge of English is indispensable at the beginning of the studies for a reading of scientific texts. More than 90% of the international scientific literature is written in this language; communication between researchers on a global level takes place more and more frequently in English. The Faculty of Sciences has consequently integrated within the programme of each year of Bachelors study an English course of 4 credits (45 hours).

Higher Education Institute of Living Languages - ISVL

The ISLV is responsible for studying and putting into practice the general policy to be followed in terms of teaching languages to the University’s non-language students, as well as members of the teaching, research, administrative and technical staff.

It also arranges the teaching of foreign languages and French (as a first and as a foreign language) for members of the University community, as well as other people who wish to improve their knowledge of languages.

Finally it also carries out, at the request of University departments or third parties, translation work and teaching, training and expertise missions.
